Tired, is what I am. The only thing I can remember from this day is what first came to mind when I got up this morning at 5:30.

"I don't wanna go to work. I just wanna sleep."

I'm home now, but now that I am, I can't seem to fall asleep, hence me typing to you. A few minutes ago I went through my banking and was a little surprised at what I saw. I did a lot of purchasing in December and it wasn't for Christmas presents either. It seems I have a fascination with three supermarkets. I counted a little over 25 purchases for food products at three different markets. Now that I mention it, I recall a little revelation I had on Christmas Eve...at the supermarket. I was there kinda late strolling around with my buggy when I noticed there were other singles meandering about with their buggies, too. I did the self check out thing, walked out to my car and thought, "Wow, I guess this is what it feels like to be single."

I like going to the market late. I like the quiet, I like the browsing through the colorful vegetable and fruit isle. Is this me getting old? I mean, geez, I was there New Years Eve, too, which I spent alone, by choice [I didn't spend the entire night there by the way...I wanted to refresh my kitchen with food for the New Year].

F: So what did you do for New Years?

Me: I stayed home. Alone. By choice! :::mumble::: Uh, setting up a turtle pond.

F: ::::smirk:::::

F is the youngest psychologist at the firm. When I say young, I'm thinkin' mid forties. He razzes me a lot. He's kinda cute, too.

F: Wow, there's nothing like kickin' off the New Year by setting up a turtle pond.

Me: You're dismissed.

But yes, that was my New Years Eve. Elzilla invited me out to her friends house for a party, but I wanted to spend it at home, in the new apartment, sipping Moet [which I didn't open by the way because I was afraid to open it, fearing the cork would pop off with such force it'd break a light fixture or bust through the plaster walls]. I set up the new turtle pond, ate ice cream, and watched Colin Powell press the 'button'. It was a very relaxing night...and, my turtles are finally out of hibernation and have a new pond, versus the old aquarium they used to reside in. Oh wait a minute! I wasn't actually alone on New Years Eve, I had Frodo Throdo Baggins, Gamera, Mango and Smash, with me.

Man, how lame is that?!?!

I kid, I kid.

Well folks, bless your heart if you've donated to the Tsunami Relief. Just remember, every dollar counts. $1, $5, $10, anything. I'm going to have dinner at a restaurant on Monday that is donating all proceeds to the Tsunami Relief, I invite my friends here in Boston to come along.
