So we all met up at a new Japanese restaurant in the area, I love it there because it has a gigantic flat screen TV on the wall, and I always ask to be seated facing it. I'll even fight my friends for the seat. Anyway.
My friends and I arrived early. We were seated [I was facing the TV], and we waited for BGw/G. K had a perfect view of incoming guests and each time someone walked in the door she'd say, "Ooh is that him?"
"Is he tall, built, and most importantly, bald?"
"No."
"Then it isn't him gawd damnit."
When he finally did show up I heard K gasp, and she said through her teeth, "It's HIM! He's cute and tall!"
It was a nice dinner, he actually picked out his own food, and the conversation was filled with a lotta laughter. Towards the end of dinner he excused himself to the men's room at which point I exclaimed,
"I DON'T GET IT, I CAN'T SEEM TO FEEL ANY CHEMISTRY!!!! But he's cute isn't he? What do you think of him?"
"He's really cute AND nice! What don't you like?"
"Dude, I don't know what it is. I look at him and I just don't feel the urge to climb him like a tree."
I see him walking towards the table and I immediately change the subject. During this time, I took out my new cell phone to show it to him and covertly took a picture of him [My friend Mare wanted to see what he looks like], then I emailed it to her. Good times.
Apparently K liked him so much she wanted to invite him back to her house, I said it was fine, and he accepted so we all drove back to her house. Upon arriving, I realized he had his new truck, so before we all went in the house I made him give me a tour of it. He told me no. I said, Yes. He said no, again. I said COME ON! And he finally gave in. I couldn't for the life of me understand why he wouldn't let me see the inside of the truck, then all of a sudden he hands me something. It's a bouquet of flowers.
It got really quiet. I stared right through the flowers until I heard K say, "Awwwe!"

I took them from him, said thank you and he said, "Have a safe trip." I thanked him again "You didn't have to get me flowers." He really shouldn't have and I kinda wish he didn't, even though I love getting flowers.
We then walked into the house and gave him a tour of the place, sat next to the fireplace and exchanged stories, he had to get going, we said our goodbyes.
I feel odd. This is totally not my forte.
